About Us

Established in 1994 as the Great Atlantic T-shirt Company, owners Bob Morris and Shawn Riley built an unparalleled reputation for providing honest and dependable service in the North Florida marketplace.  After 10 years of operation, they defined the need to offer their customers a greater variety of goods and services and merged with Blair Wygle who founded Embroidery Classics in 1996.

From humble beginnings as individually operated garage shops, the partners have built Great Atlantic Outfitters into a successful business employing 20 men and women in its daily operations where in excess of 2,500,000 logos are screenprinted and embroidered annually.

Shawn utilizes over 20 years of hands-on screenprinting experience to manage the production staff and monitor quality control.  When not involved in the daily activities at Great Atlantic, he enjoys traveling to Central America and the Caribbean, surfing, diving, and golf.  He resides in Jacksonville Beach, FL with his wife and two sons.

A degree in business administration from the University of North Florida and training in surgical equipment sales gave Blair the tools necessary to build Embroidery Classics into a highly successful operation.  At Great Atlantic he develops marketing programs for corporate clients and manages quality control in our embroidery department.  He is a member of Rotary, the First Coast Manufacturers Association, and has served as a small business consultant on the Jacksonville Economic Development Commission.  Blair and his wife call Atlantic Beach, FL home and he enjoys traveling and golf in his spare time.

Experience as an auditor for the Walt Disney Company and a degree in international business from Jacksonville University enable Bob to manage the administrative operations of Great Atlantic in addition to heading up the art department.  Outside of work, he is a successful professional saltwater tournament fisherman and has enjoyed a long career in competitive amateur surfing.  He lives in Neptune Beach, FL with his wife and son.

Having grown up on the beach, Blair, Bob and Shawn wanted to incorporate the sea into their name and their love for it into their corporate environment.  The staff of Great Atlantic Outfitters consists of creative outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy surfing, skateboarding, fishing, diving, music, and art.  We attempt to offer a challenging but fun work environment and have been fortunate enough to retain the services of our employees through a period of tremendous growth and its associated changes.  We look forward to serving you!
